About this collection
About Saint Statues
From St Joseph and St Michael the Archangel to St Monica, St Patrick, St Fiacre, St Juan Diego and Padre Pio, this collection gathers newly made statues of the saints for parish churches, chapels and shrines. Sizes run from small devotional figures to six-foot statues.
Many statues are cast in fiberglass and offered in a white finish or in full color, with color priced as an option. Others are carved in linden wood by Demetz and shipped from Italy, carved in marble, or cast in real bronze. A single design is often available in more than one material, so ask which options suit your budget and setting.
Choosing a saint statue
Think about where the statue will stand: a side altar, a niche, a pedestal near the entrance or a parish garden shrine. Measure the space, allow for viewing distance, and decide between white, full color, wood or bronze. Listed prices currently run from about $150 to $13,190; many carved and marble pieces are quoted on request. Call or request a quote. Freight is billed separately. Saint Statues
In the Sacred Liturgy
The saints are men and women who followed Christ with heroic love and now share His glory in heaven. The Church honors them as friends and models, and asks for their prayers, trusting that they intercede for us before God. Their statues remind us that holiness is possible in every walk of life: for priests and religious, for mothers and fathers, for workers, soldiers and children.
Many parishes and schools are named for a patron saint, whose statue holds a place of honor. Saints are traditionally recognized by their attributes: St Joseph with a lily or carpenter's tools, St Anthony holding the Christ Child, St Francis with the stigmata or with animals, St Thérèse with roses and a crucifix, St Patrick with the shamrock, and the martyrs with the palm of victory.
A statue of a saint is an invitation to learn that saint's story, to imitate his or her virtues, and to ask for help in our own needs.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses
