Angel statues for church and chapel: adoring angels beside the altar or tabernacle, and guardians that remind us of heaven's worship.

About this collection
About Angel Statues
Angels have long knelt beside the tabernacle and stood watch at the altar. In this collection you will find kneeling and standing adoring angels, angels of light that hold a candle, holy water angels, shrine angels and an incense angel set. Many are sold as left and right pairs.
Sizes run from about 27 inches to a ten-foot angel of light. Most are cast in fiberglass and painted in full color, with set color schemes such as red and gold, light blue or rose; others are carved in marble, and a few designs are by Demetz, shipped from Italy.
Placing angel statues
Decide where the angels will stand: on the altar, on the gradines beside the tabernacle, on pedestals or at the sanctuary steps. Measure the space and check that a pair suits the scale of the altar. Listed prices currently run from about $280 to $12,000; some designs are quoted on request. Call or request a quote. Freight is billed separately. See also statue pedestals and tabernacles.
Angel Statues
In the Sacred Liturgy
Angels are spiritual beings created by God to serve and praise Him and to carry out His will. Scripture shows them worshipping before His throne, bringing His messages, and guarding His people. The Church honors the archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, and Christian tradition has long held that each of us has a guardian angel.
In churches, angel statues are often placed on either side of the altar or tabernacle, kneeling or bowing in adoration. They recall the worship of heaven and show the faithful how to approach the Blessed Sacrament: with reverence, attention and love. Angels holding candles add both light and beauty to the sanctuary.
Angels are traditionally shown with wings, a sign of their swiftness in doing God's will, and in flowing robes. Paired angels, one for the left and one for the right, are made to face each other across the altar, and other angel statues stand at shrines, in gardens or beside holy water.
For he will give his angels charge of you to guard you in all your ways
