About Mary Statues
Our Lady has a place in every Catholic church, and this collection offers newly made statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary under many titles. You will find Our Lady of Grace, Our Lady of Lourdes, Fatima, Guadalupe, Mt Carmel and Perpetual Help, the Immaculate Heart, the Immaculate Conception, Our Lady of Sorrows, and the Madonna and Child.
Most statues are cast in fiberglass in white or full color, with the other finish available at a different price. Others are carved in linden wood, including designs by Demetz, or carved in marble, and some are made to order for a parish.
Before you choose
Consider the space: a Marian side altar, a niche, a grotto or a shrine near the entrance. Measure height and depth, and allow for viewing distance in a tall church. Listed prices currently run from about $160 to $10,179; carved and marble pieces are often quoted on request. Call or request a quote. Freight is billed separately. Mary Statues
In the Sacred Liturgy
From the earliest centuries Christians have honored Mary, the Mother of God. A statue of Our Lady draws us to her as a loving mother who always leads us to her Son, as she did at the wedding at Cana when she told the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."
Mary is honored under many titles, each recalling a mystery of her life or an appearance in which she called the faithful to prayer and conversion. Among the best loved are the Immaculate Conception, Our Lady of Grace, Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Sorrows, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and the Madonna and Child. Each has its own traditional features, such as a blue mantle, a crown of stars, a rosary, or the Christ Child in her arms.
A statue of Mary is a natural place for prayer. Many parishes give her a side altar or shrine, and families crown her with flowers in May, the month dedicated to Our Lady.
For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed
